I hear ya dude, I think the problem I have and many others have is that we simply “accept” the “evidence or facts” of science concerning evolution when there really isn’t much there. Sure we can go to this book or that this guy or that, but there are also the scientists (unbelieving) that oppose what the theory of evolution asserts now as fact.…[Read more]

Haha no bro. Sorry it’s funny because I go to a hugely Calvinistic school but I couldn’t tell ya the first thing about Calvin outside his five points (which I only agree with 2-3 of em). Couldn’t quote him to save my life. It’s just what I know to be true from the testimony of Scripture. So it’s an Adam quote grounded in Scriptural truth;)

Yes sir. I agree completely. However, I think your comment “which brings credibility to Christianity” is part of what’s a struggle for Christians. We try and “prove” our faith or reveal or explain “evidence” of God, Creation, etc. when we don’t have to. Our faith is credible because of the witness of the Holy Spirit. Appealing to the sciences…[Read more]

Actually, now that I think about it what’s the point of even bringing “scientific research” into the discussion or a sermon? Why would I need or use science to preach or teach on forgiveness? Scripture is clear and sufficient on the topic and the scientific definition or understanding adds nothing to what we already have.
It just seems like…[Read more]

I think you’re dead on here in your review of the article: ”
This research affirms what Christians have proclaimed since the beginning. Some of Jesus’ last words on the cross were, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34 NRSV)”.
The research does just affirm what we know from Scripture, so man’s wisdo…[Read more]

Has anyone read “Evolution: A Theory in Crisis” by Michael Denton
From a non-Christian scientist, so I’m thinking that is a good source, especially when most scientists aren’t willing or are too fearful to come out against the Theory of evolution as busted.
Another scientific explanation? Sure maybe. But we keep trying for a square peg…[Read more]

I was just thinking about that, and add to it Hope. Because amid everything we have going on in life, when we have a Christ centered life or simply view life in light of eternity…NO matter what comes, the hope remains. The hope and promise of adoption and to be with Him where He is. When I think about that everything else fades away, and I’m…[Read more]

I understand what you’re saying brother, but the problem is when we do that we are elevating science over Scripture. We are saying (admittedly or not), Scripture must fit our mold (that is Science) as OPPOSED to what it should be, science is filtered through Scripture.
Science says we evolved over billions of years. So what as Christians do…[Read more]

I agree with Austin. But, there is no need to have sympathy for young earthers. See here is the thing, when I stand before the Lord
I am not worried about Him saying, “Adam I’m disappointed that you didn’t let the ‘wisdom of the world’ influence how you interpreted MY Word.”
Actually i am quite certain that because I take God at His…[Read more]

The article mentions “one of the biggest scientific discoveries in 21st century” and this comes from CERN. The problem I have is if we are believers then should we not be cautious and be more judicious in our examination or acceptance of “scientific findings” from a company with a large Shiva statue repping their company?? If that doesn’t cause…[Read more]

I understand that, however the evolutionary theory is not actually testable in time. But you are right it is an “explanation” though based on more speculation and a liberal use of “evidence”.
I am in no way a scientist bit from what I have read, watched, and studied evolution is more of a “best guess” in regards to creation rather than…[Read more]

Coming back to this article is again frustrating. If we are believers we must filter science through Scripture not make Scripture submit to science. And to even question the understanding or reality of unconditional love on the basis of some research that really can’t effectively address the issue is concerning. So if science says there is no…[Read more]

Interesting. But I have found the most sustaining part in my marriage, apart from Christ at the center which is the ONLY truly sustaining aspect of a healthy marriage, is humility and selflessness towards my wife. Humility is the root of it all, you can’t even be truly grateful without it. .

This is a topic that should be addressed so thank. Too often, regardless of “increased health and life expectancy”, are older mature believers simply dismissed or written-off. They have always and should always be looked to for both wisdom and teaching in the faith. Also, they need encouragement just like the rest of us. If only more young folks…[Read more]
