Terms and Conditions



  • Participants must be from a Protestant, Roman Catholic, or Eastern Orthodox denomination.
  • The contest is open to international submission, except where prohibited by law. To be eligible for this contest you must be eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry.
  • You cannot have won a sermon contest from PLPIT within the last year (from submission due date of the contest that you won).
  • Employee’s of the PLPIT team or any of its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, or any other company or individual involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of the Contest and their immediate family (spouse, parents and step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, and children and step-children) are not eligible to win a prize.
  • All sermons must be given within the applicant’s ministry context and before a live audience.
  • The Contest is subject to all applicable United States federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and PLPIT’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

Official Rules:

  • Participants must be 18 years or older to enter and must be within a Protestant, Roman Catholic, or Eastern Orthodox denomination.
  • All submissions of writing, video, and audio will be considered for publication on our website, www.plpit.com, including those submissions that are not selected to in a prize. Additionally, PLPIT reserves the right to promote participants’ writing, video, or audio through social media including, but not limited to, Facebook and twitter.
  • PLPIT will not share participant’s’ personal information with any third party without the participant’s’ written consent with the exception of listing the participant’s name, ministry context, related sermon material, and likeness in association with the contest on any of PLPIT mediums of communication and those of its partners, affiliates, and licensees, including but not limited to, print, web, social media.
  • All materials submitted become the property of PLPIT. By submitting work to us, participants grant PLPIT and its partners, affiliates, and licensees the non-exclusive right to publish this work in any format, including print, electronic, and online media. However, all individual contributors to the  Contest retain the right to submit their work for non-exclusive publication elsewhere, provided that information regarding the original publication is provided in all subsequent publications.
  • Plagiarism. PLPIT has a no-tolerance policy for plagiarism. Any applicant/participant found to have submitted a plagiarized submission will be banned from any and all subsequent PLPIT contests.
  • Submissions may be edited to suit the needs of publication. PLPIT reserves the right to publish edited versions without the participant’s prior approval.
  • Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same registration or email address used at registration.
  • PLPIT is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected registrations, all of which will be disqualified.
  • In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant.
  • Entry into the Contest and submission of the entry form constitutes permission granted by the participant to use his/her name, submission, likeness/image, and/or any other provided information or content for promotional advertising, publicity or trade purposes in any and all media worldwide in perpetuity by PLPIT without further compensation except where prohibited by law.
  • By participating in the Contest and/or by accepting the prize, participants release and forever discharge PLPIT and its parents, shareholders, partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, agents, authorized representatives, employees and advertising agencies from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from participation in this Contest and/or acceptance or use of any prize, including, without limitation, for personal injury, damage, loss or death, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy and merchandise/prize delivery.
  • The winning participants will be notified using the email address provided with registration.

By entering this Contest, you, the participant, accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of PLPIT, which are final on all matters relating to the Contest.


I, by submitting, hereby acknowledge, agree and expressly grant to Fuller Theological Seminary including the PLPIT project and its employees, agents and assigns (hereinafter “Fuller”):

  1. The right to make an audio and/or video recording of me, my presentation and follow-up interviews with me for the PLPIT project, its website, and all future online communication pieces.
  2. The right in perpetuity to use, duplicate and distribute without limitation my name, photograph, likeness, voice, text, words, performance, picture, silhouette, and other reproductions of my physical likeness in any manner and in any media including, but not limited to, photographs, film, audio or videotape and other digitized or analog media for the purposes of memorializing the and of disseminating my presentation to the Fuller community, scientific community, and general public.
  3. I understand and agree that Fuller makes no warranties or promises regarding unauthorized use by others and that Fuller is not responsible for any unauthorized use of text, audio, video, and other media from my presentation(s) by any person, and I agree to hold Fuller harmless from all such uses.
  4. I, The undersigned, further acknowledge and promise that I (1) exclusively own all rights, title, and interest in and to all words/materials and performances used in my presentation, or (2) have obtained prior authorization to use someone else’s copyrighted words/ materials and performances, or (3) am using words/materials and performances that are in the public domain and no longer subject to international or American copyrights. I agree to defend and to hold Fuller Theological Seminary including the PLPIT project and their employees, agents, and assigns harmless from any and all claims of copyright violation resulting from the use of my words/materials and performance presentation.
